Who we are

This website is operated by SkyLab Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 52 613 725 670, ACN 613 725 670), an Australian private company based in Queensland. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean SkyLab Australia Pty Ltd.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us. In practice that means the contents of our enquiry form: your name, email address, optional phone number, enquiry type, project of interest and message. Contractor and supplier registrations can also include your business name, town or suburb, services offered and areas serviced.

We do not ask for, and this website does not collect, payment details, identity documents, or any sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act.

How we use it

We use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry, consider your feedback and discuss relevant project opportunities or services you have offered. If your enquiry relates to a project or a commercial opportunity, we may keep a record of it so we can pick the discussion back up later.

We do not sell your information. We do not add you to a marketing list without your consent, and we do not use your details for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share it with

The enquiry form prepares a message in your browser. The form itself does not transmit your details to SkyLab. You send the prepared message using your email provider, which processes it under its own privacy terms. Copying or downloading the message does not send it to us.

Beyond that, we disclose personal information only where it is necessary to respond to your enquiry, where you have asked us to, or where we are required to by law.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not run third-party analytics.

Pages that embed content from another service, such as the map on the Gunsynd project page, load that content directly from the provider. Those providers may set their own cookies and can see that your browser requested the embedded content. Their own privacy policies govern that.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it remains commercially relevant, and then destroy or de-identify it. Where a law or a contract requires us to retain records for a set period, we keep them for that period.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email cameron@skylabgroup.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at cameron@skylabgroup.com.au so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version and its effective date always appear on this page.
