About SkyLab Australia Four industries.
Shared ambition.
SkyLab Australia Pty Ltd is a Queensland-based, Australian owned developer established in 2016, with projects across Queensland and South Australia in energy (solar, battery storage and gas), data centres, commercial and industrial land, and energy and materials recovery. We took Punch’s Creek Stage 1 and Gunsynd through approvals and grid connection agreements, then transferred them to EDP Renewables (August 2025) and Metis Energy.
Why we exist

To make the energy systems
of the future a reality today.
Our foundation in generation, transmission and distribution informs a broader development approach. We connect energy expertise with digital infrastructure, commercial and industrial sites, and the recovery of energy and materials.
SkyLab addresses all facets of the project life-cycle in project development and interfaces with end owners and investors of the projects. That means the work does not stop at an approval. It continues until the asset is something a global owner is willing to buy and build.
Deliberately, we stay small. What scales is the partner network around us: network operators, councils, financiers, lawyers and specialist engineers who have worked with us across multiple developments.

How we work
Four things we
do not compromise.
Build what matters
Focus on real-world impact: energy systems and infrastructure that work, scale and endure.
Progress
Move ideas into action, with a practical approach to every stage of development.
Clarity
Make complex projects easier to understand. Identify what matters and communicate it clearly.
Think beyond
Look beyond convention to connect opportunities in energy, infrastructure and resource recovery.
The company
Boutique by design.
Led by Cameron Meekin, Director, SkyLab keeps a tight core team and brings in the right specialists per project.
